Who is B&E Photography?


Bruno Van Saen & Els Van Den Borre, or B&E are living in Belgium and got married in 1996. A few years later, in November 2004 to be exact, they both discovered the beauty of the underwater world. After two attempts in a swimming pool, they finally try for the first time a real Scuba dive in the open sea.
The start of a great story...

In 2009, Bruno and Els participate in their first underwater photography contest. At the ceremony, they are both awarded. A few weeks later, Bruno and Els become third in their first international underwater photography competition. A year later they can re-confirm, and they both belong again to the lucky winners.
Meanwhile, Bruno and Els achieved incredible results in national- and international UW photo competitions.

Today, they already won three times on the Worldfestival for underwater images or 'Le Festival Mondial de l'Image Sous-Marine'.

Each location has its own characteristics. One location is among the world's best in terms of small sea creatures, while the other location has no macro (small) marine life, but does have an abundance of large sea creatures. Maybe you should take a look at our world's best diving destinations.
Taking beautiful underwater photos requires a lot more knowledge than taking beautiful images above water. To take impressive underwater photos you need the perfect balance in what we call our 'Triangle to successful underwater photography'. You can find this article in our blog.
You don't have to dive deep to take beautiful pictures underwater. Today our dives are often limited to a maximum depth of about 25m.

oooh, we have so many. When it comes to critters or small animals I can recommend our book. In our book we have collected 100 weird little sea creatures which we all really like. When it comes to large sea animals, we especially like the manta rays, various species of sharks and all kinds of cetaceans.
